Working At Height & Suitable Access Equipment

Whilst working at height three main issues must be addressed to comply with the new Working at Height Regulations, which came into force during April 2005

1. Suitable Access Equipment is Used
2. Workers are trained to competently use the equipment & risk assessments are carried out.
3. A system is in place for recording Maintenance and Inspection of equipment

2. Workers are Trained Competently

Clow Group offer a range of courses and services on: Ladder Safety & Inspection, Ladder Safety and Tower Assembly & Inspection. As well as being able to offer tailor made courses which concern working at height. An inspection service is also available.

3. Recording Maintenance & Inspection of Equipment

Can be used on all equipment where there is a legal requirement to have the product inspected/tested on a regular basis ie. steps, ladders & towers. After testing of products, items will be clearly marked in indelible ink with the date of inspection & date of the next required inspection. The Clow Safety Tag is put on all access equipment which leaves Clow Group, free of charge.
